I have an imbuya and I have also seen a few bubingas,
I believe it to be bubinga,
A warwick thumb bass is bubinga and it is pretty close in grain to your amp.

Someone says: "I have a Mark IV I believe is Imbuya and it looks very much like Walnut".

You are right. Imbuya is also known as Brazilian Walnut.

is the overall color an olive color to the brown or is it more red/brown hue?

After further review, the amp did not have possesion of the ball before it
went out of bounds. RR will be charged with one team time out. :D

:x Awww Crapppp (Crusty the Clown - Simpson), that's it, after that call, my team is going to 'tank' it for the season and hopefully get the first round draft choice overall in the next coming draft.

unrelated subject but related to this post: Like the other category, maybe everyone should display their exoticwood Boogie cabinets. :D

Hey Dan, sorry to pop in late on this thread... but pretty sure that your hardwood is imbuya, not bubinga. I own an early MkIII head --serial number 168xx-- that is imbuya and your wood looks exactly like mine. I'm now in Japan and my head and matching 1x12 cab are in L.A., but I might have some photos with me on a CD that I can upload soon for you.

Cheers, imbuyaboy

Appreciate the help on this one. Look forward to seeing Imbuyaboys photos. I love hardwood Boogies
