I'm quite confuse right now since my friend is selling most of his guitars and I can choose between 3 models:

Ibanez JPM JP3
Jackson Soloist SL2H
Jackson soloist 1 2008

I need some valuable input guys!

This is all personal preference. Play the heck out of all of them, and buy the one that really speaks to you. I already know which one I'd buy, but I'm 91.3% certain your opinion will differ.

That JPM is pretty rare and will continue to go up in value. I really like the clean sound of the middle position for the pickup configs. Almost sounds like a Strat. (Did that make any sense?)
However, I typically prefer Jackson necks over the Ibanez JPMs (which has a viper neck like the RT series, NOT a wizard of some sort like most of the RG's and Jems.)

I'll be the new owner of an Ibanez JPM P3...I can just buy is sl2h later on

I find that it is impossible to tell how good a model of guitar is by the model number. So many times I have played guitars that are meant to be identical that play completely differently. Especially second hand ones. Ask to borrow them all for a couple of days and then make your decision.

The ibanez JPM P3 is the best guitar I've ever played so far. I also bought an Ibanez J Custome RG8420ZD that I will receive shortly. I'll let you know how it sound!

Being a US Jackson owner since 1997 I know my vote. Yes same 1 guitar from back then.

My Ibanez days did not last long.

Anyway being biased the fair recomendation would be the one you dig the most regardless of cost. From the look to the sound and so forth it will be with you on a daily basis for hopefully a long time so go with what you are mostly set for. Was it Ibanez or Jackson that came first in your mind? What feels best? You can always upgrade, strings, pickups, color, amps and effects later.

If its something completly else don't buy any of them and go with the one you have in your mind.

Well 2 weeks ago I bought an esp M-1000 and I loved it but I felt the neck was to thick. I brought to my luthier and he set her up for standart C...

I bought the JPM P3 friday and didn't put it down yet. Great clean and the distortion is just perfect. The neck feel awesome...what more can I say.

The only guitar that has matched the JPM is the J custom that I already bought and the jackson RR1T but the fact that it was a V shape made me run away from it!

Congratz on your new guitars!

My first Ibanez was actually my second electric and it was an older sunburst V. The vibrato system sucked and that was why I did not have it for long.

I got used to the shape but not a locking nut vibrato system.

The same with my ESP KH2.

My US Jackson is an custom shop RR but I have never had any trouble with the shape of it. It even made me stand up and play it 95% of the time.
