Ok, get all the schadenfreude out of your system...

I have plugged basses into every guitar amp I have ever had and there was no problem, but the LSS didn't last 5 seconds.
It's totally non responsive, not even the power light.

Any tips?

Plugging a bass up to a guitar amp is only hazardous to the speaker IMO. Could it have been coincidence?

It wasn't the bass...it's something else.

Could be the rectifier tube died. Try switching to 30-watt mode if you haven't already.
