How do I wire up this speaker? Help!

The boogie speaker wire has a black wire and a white wire (Like the speakers in a mark series combo).

Does the black go to positive and the white to negative?

Does it matter if white goes to positive and black to negative?

On my MKIV white goes to positive on the speaker. The white wire goes from the positive post on the speaker to the tip of the male 1/4" plug that goes into the back of the amp chassis.

Hey guys...if you ever have a problem figuring out the speaker polarity, you can always touch the speaker lead terminals with a 9 volt battery. If the speakers pushes out it is correctly in phase. If it pushes in it is out of phase. Same goes for the speaker leads coming from the amp (no don't hook the battery up to these) if you hook them up correctly the speaker will push out when you hit a note. It will pull in if they are backwards.
