Ebay is tricky because the honest people are always looked upon as scammers until proven otherwise. I had a guy that was furious for charging $50 to ship a multitrack recorder and that it would take 5-7 days through USPS. I kindly explained to him I did not grossly overcharge shipping (the total was like $46 and some change) and that I cannot do anything about the shipping time. It was his first transaction through ebay so he was a little scared i guess. In the end he received exactly what I had described and was very happy with the product.
I am very patient when buying things on ebay as you have to factor in ebay is not most people's jobs and they are just doing it on the side in order to make a few extra bucks.
A week without a reply is a problem, IMO, but a couple of days is ok.
