They CR's sound way different than C90's . The CR's are more even sounding and not spiky at all. The C90's still have a mid hump that is noticable, although not as prominent as the V30's. The CR's are more sparkly in the cleans and have this delicious sounding "fuzz" for the lack of a better word for the dirty sounds. They are loud as well, they are rated for 100db sensitivity. They don't sound good in Mesa Theile's, flat, lifeless, but in the Port ity they sound perfect. The Port city Wave 2x12 is very even sounding, not boomy like the Recto 2x12's and are almost as 3D as an open back cab, but don't lose projection like open backs. I put a couple of EV's in it at first, but it was too heavy! and the speakers did sound compressed, like they weren't breathing properly, but the CR's are a perfect match. I'm going to get another PCW 2x12 so that I can run my MKIII Blue stripe though it alongside a Mesa EV Theile.
