I've been messing with the 3-band parametric EQ in my G-Major through the loop of my Roadster with mixed results. Any suggestions on what frequencies to start with, and what those frequencies may effect, like boost 250Hz for more chunk, cut above 8K to get rid of excess "shrill highs" etc.

Thanks,
Dom

Look at Mark IV and you'll see you are wrong.
Cutting bass at 240 and mid at 750 will give you a more tight sound.
Boosting bass at 240 only will give you a bass player inside your tone
However Roadster already has less mids than mark IV so irst cut bass than if you feel mids are nasal, cut them too

that's not the best of examples, but it's a model to go start with.
Go to google and search around for EQ charts and electric guitar eq. and you'll find charts that look like that but have more in depth info for guitars.

also do a search for "slipperman guitar." It's a long and funny tutorial on how to record and eq distorted guitars.
the #1 tip all engineers always give is that it's better to cut frequencies out rather than boost everything else.
