Mesa Boogie Stiletto Deuce Stage 1 Head
Mint

Bought from guitar center a few months ago for 1350
Head sold new for 1700

1200 OBO

OR

Trade me a 3 channel Dual Rectifier head
Thats what I want!!

Thanks
email me if u have questions

no thanks dude, i need a head. thanks for the offer tho.

i am wanting a dual rectifier or a triple rectifier, 3 channel.

what do u think people, is a rectifier an unreasonable trade for my head? in your opinion.

a Stiletto has a very poor resale value compared to a recto. I see them very often going for $900

i have a dual recto i want to get rid of and i want a stiletto but a stage 2

+1. Stage 1 Stiletto's are not selling for $1350. Mark IV's on the other hand are ( even 10-15 year old ones!) . I agree with emo.... if this was a Stage II I'd give you my single rec and some cash. But a stage 1 for a Dual or Triple seems a bit unlikely.

Best of luck though. I hope you get the amp you want. Chasing a Mesa is half the fun. Good luck-

well here's the thing, is it really about money or sound? i am not trying to talk for this particular trade or anything but i mean if u are looking for a more classic sound then the stiletto will do it, despite its resale value???

does resale value determine the head sucks? or are we all just trading around then trading more and more so much that we are focused on the "value" of the head in terms of money.

honestly if my sound was something i could get for 400 then i would buy it. if someone is going for sound that can be produced by the head i have, i don't see what the big deal is.

someone please enlighten me.
thanks

It's simply that the market value of your head is not $1200. Honestly, guitar center was blowing stage 1 heads out for $850 new with warrantee in my area.

I am sure your amp sounds great but I guess the truth is that if someone wanted one they could get it cheaper. No on is implying that your amp is problematic but the used market for the amp does not command they money you are asking.

That's what I paid for mine. Brand new. Never opened.

the stage 1's resale was driven down by the release of the stage II.... resale prices are determined by the market... like for instance played a "$20,000" vintage les paul and it sounded like *** compaired to the brand new custom they were selling for 1900..... so is that guitar worth $20,000 because of the way it sounded? no .... its because there is a vintage market where gear that old is hard to find and that lp happened to be one of the rarer vintage lps out there.... it still sounded like *** but to a because there is a demanding market for that lp its value goes up.... conversely, since mesa released the stage II for the price the stage Is originally sold for, they drove the resale prices down..... rectifiers experience the same thing... the only difference is a recto new has a 1700 price tag which is a few hundred more than a stiletto.... therefore if used rectos go for around 1100-1300, it only makes sense the resale for a stiletto is around 800-100.... you gotta love capitalism
