channel 1 goes out

Yesterday when I went from ch2/ch3 to ch 1, there would be no sound
for a few seconds. The longest wait being 8 seconds before ch1 finally
engages.

I took it off the FS setting on the "Channel Select" knob in the back and
switched back and forth but was unable to duplicate the issue. The odd
part was that I was getting reverb on all channels doing it this way.

I then cycled through the "Loop Assign" button as well as the "Channel Select."
Finally the reverb went away and by going back to FS on the "Channel Select,"
ch1 works from ch2/ch3 via the foot switch for now.

Could this be the LM3914N chip going out as described here?:

I have same problem. When changed channel 2 or 3 to channel 1, sounds happens after few seconds. I opened mark V head and found 10.000 uf 16v electrolytic capacitor stuffed.
