Can I use a THD Hot Plate with my Rect-O-Verb?

I can actually get fantastic sounds out of the amp anyway (without one), but the reason I ask it because I'm about to buy a Hot Plate for some of my louder blackface Fender amps, and thought it might be cool to try with the Mesa.

Has anyone tried this? Which Hot Plate (ohm) would be most suitable for the Rect-O-Verb?

If you've done this tell me what you like or dislike about it...

I have an 8 ohm THD hotplate for sale, perfect condition, owned it for about 4 months.

It's a great little toy that does exactly what they say it does....it drives the power amp section much more, giving you a nice tube overdrive.

But, I have recently gotten the means to practice in a environment where I can push the amp a bit more, so I really have no need for the hotplate!
