I would NOT reccomend a MarkI for apartment use. My '78 sounds good at low volumes, but it really opens up when I crank the volume .

WOW! I LOVE your heavy rhythm tone on rapid eye movement and on tango. Exactly the dirty bluesy kind of thing I've been looking for.

sure, on rapid eye movement settings were:

volume 1: 9.5
volume 2: 9
master: 1.7
treble: 8
bass: 1
middle: 8

presence: 7 (i'm not sure with this one) Boogie ran through 4x12 ESH cabinet with celestion greenbacks, I'm not sure what mike we used on cab (some condenser one).

settings on tango:

volume 1 : 9
volume 2: 9
master: 2
treble: 10
bass: 2
middle: 7
presence: 10

I'm sure that boogie was miked with AKG C-1000 on tango.

everything with strat, using either bridge & middle or bridge pickup

I'm looking forward to get orange 2x12 cab (celestion V30) soon, mk I really kills with that cabinet (it sounds much better than anything on these recordings to me).

Yeah V30's will get an MK I, especially with the browner sounding Orange cabs, they've got a great response.

is it possible to dial similar sounds on quad? I've tried mark IIC+ (thru my amp's speaker) and it sounded completely different than my mark. I was thinking about mark III, quad copy (original quad is little too expensive in czech republic) or studio preamp to replace mk I because i'm tired of rolling volume knob down also i would like to have some other sounds in amp,i love this sound for solos and bluesy stuff, but i would like to have less "blury" heavy rhytm sound. mk I has tons of character but lacks a little bit in resolution IMO.
