Anybody use power conditioner or Attenuator?

Title pretty much says all. I'm curious about both because of the inconsistency of tone on my mark III and noise related stuff could be bad power in my old house. Attenuator because I'm really interested in pushing the amp past 2 on the MV and getting the power tubes more involved.

I sometimes use my attenuator on my Mark IV in class-A when using R1. I have EL34s in the outer pair. The attenuator makes it nice if I want to play late at night.

But, I rarely use the attenuator at home when on either R2 or lead.
I use it out sometimes to get a fuller sound w/o breaking windows.
