Love the little powerhouse F-30. Would like to achieve and earlier break-up with the clean channel however. How can I get this. I assume a different brand of pre-amp tubes, but which ones. I don't want to put myself into a bind by swapping tubes at this point unless I know that I'll be safe, but I thought maybe someone has done this with this amp and gotten good results. Also the reverb on this amp seems rather weak to me, especially on the 2nd channel. The more drive or even volume, the less reverb. Is this normal or should I call Mesa?

I don't know about the tubes.
I've had an F-30 for about 6 months and I don't notice any difference in the reverb when switching between the channels. I don't change the gain setting much, but I don't recall it having any effect on the reverb either. You might want to contact Mesa and see if they suggest a fix.

Forget about the reverb on the amp and get a reverb pedal.
Thats what I did for my amp. And I am Happy now.

call bob at eurotubes. i retubed and i LOVE JJ's!!!!
i got a highgain hit which really doesnt affect the clean channel but
it wouldnt be hard to make that the case. as far my reverb, ive had
no problems with goin from channel 1 to 2. sounds like the channel
reverb control might be bad.
