Ok I recently got a POD XT PRO for FX and diff amp sims to add to my setup , I got it used so no maual with it and I hate reading all that to see what I need, what I am using so far is a Mesa (stereo) Recto Pre Preamp and a Mesa 2:100 Poweramp (stereo) with a TC G-Major and a BBE 482i stereo sonic maximizer, so I want to run it all stereo into my 4X12 cab that runs stereo into (4) G12T-75 speakers outputting 150 watts per channel.

What is the best way to "chain" all this together to get the best sounds? using which FX loop or straingt into what? Also I read the PODXT PRO can "Re-amp" with a mic, i guess or what is the best way to do that with my setup I have, I want that NU-Metal UBER thick crunchy tone like in KSE, Slipknot and the likes, I am using a Ibanez RG421R with EMG 81-85 pups and heavy gauge strings

Pictures of my rack and gear will be added later once I get my camera back this evening.

Thanks in advance

I don't know if you're gonna gain much by adding it to your setup, honestly. If you pick up something like a GCX switcher you could integrate it and use it as a second preamp, but those huge tones you describe should be in the gear you already have. I think the effects sound better in the G-Major anyway, and the amp sims run the risk of sounding super cheesy next to your real preamp. Maybe try putting a boost in front of the Recto Pre?

Well, I've experimented with my own pod xt into the front of a dual rectifier. A lot of people put an over drive in front of their rectifiers to tighten the amp up a little bit. The pod xt does a decent job of that. It also has the noise gate, compressor, and wah. If you run any of the amp simulations into the front of the recto pre you are going to get a distorted mess, you'd need to bypass the amp and cab modeling. Another option is to run the recto pre/g-major and the pod parallel into your power amp one for each side of the power amp.

Ultimately I'd suggest you quit being lazy, go to line 6's website, download the manual and learn what it can do and how to use the pod. Then decide how it best achieves what you want it to.
