About the mark IV rackmount head

How much does the Mark IV rackmounted head stick out in front... Im ordering my road cases and need to know... Unfortunatly I dont have my Mark IV yet to measure it... Do you think it will clear the lid if the railing is set back 1 inch, or do you think i need more? FYI the lids have foam. Can anyone give me a measurement.

The knobs on my Mark IV stick out in front of about 1-3/8" from the rack adapter ears.
