I am having trouble getting my sound out of my .50 Caliber +. It seems the clean is too clean and the lead is too overdriven. I am kinda of looking for a good crunch and a louder (slightly crunchier) crunch. Are there any basic mods (Resistor changes, etc) that can bring these two channels closer together tone wise? I've tried gobs of settings but to no avail. I guess I miss the R2 on my old Mark III that I sold 10 years ago.

Thanks dudes, REALLY enjoying this board.

Sorry I'm tardy, I have a note from my Mom. 8)

Try tube swapping: V1 controls the Lead channel, V2 does the clean, so if the lead is too distorted, use a lower gain tube like a 12AU7. I do this myself, and it opened the amp up a bit on the lead channel. That will also allow you to run the volume (gain, really) up a bit, bringing more gain into the clean channel.

Good idea! I have a Tung Sol 12ax7 in there now I'll try a 12AU7. Thanks so much for the tip Boogie Brother.
