    Keeley Compressor

I have always used compression after od effects. but will try the set up you describe. does it not negate your od effect?

Running a POD XT thru a mesa..

I use the pod pro to record scratch tracks with. It often sounds so good we keep the tracks. I have spent many hours analyzing and programming classic tones to cop the guitar icons. However, live is different. I would NEVER run a emulator through a Mesa or any other good tube amp. I f you want...

    Roadster & wah

Budda Wah...true bypass and cool purple. has a fairly short stroke but once your dialed in it is sweet.

running two amps with a gmajor

i run a Strat and several humbucker guitars with alternate tunings. I want to run my roadster and my f30 and keep the gmajor in the mix for both. should i use the stereo out from the gmajor for the f 30 or slave out from the roadster head...or?

switching from humbucker to single coils guitar w/ roadster

I will try the compressor idea. I think this might work http://www.visualsound.net/Pedal_vv.htm I can set the strat and then just back off the pedal for the lp. the leds would make it easy to be consistent. the unity gain buffer would probably help too.

    Spongy or Bold power??

spongy doesn't cut through when playing live. but it really drips the grease in the studio.

switching from humbucker to single coils guitar w/ roadster

I play a Strat and an LP. It is a pain to switch because of the different gain settings needed for these two guitars. I have a set of PAF's in the LP and Fralin vintage pups in the strat. I have tried using channel 1 for the strat but there is still a mismatch that requires the use of a boost...

Turned of FX loop on roadster, guess i'll be selling some fx!

I agree that the amp is best with hard bypass on......tones make me salivate...but I use a gmajor in loop and keeley stomps bd,ds1, comp in front. I thought I had these tweaked in well. I just flipped the hard by pass in one day and SHEEZAAM the difference was amazing. But after an hour of...

    fx loop in roadster

your right....I spent a couple hours tweaking and now I have the loop sounding great...the hard bypass is just so plug and play..basically sounds good no matter where the knobs are... I am looking at the gsp1101 as a possibility to remove most of the pedals ( all true bypass) and get closer to...

    bias on roadster

I see that the last 2 power tubes on the left are not as bright when amp is powered up and warmed up. I used all options...bold,spongy, recto, diode 50 watt and 100w settings. the last 2 still don't light up like the others. I will get a couple and change them out.

    fx loop in roadster

I have readsome other threads about this. I have a gmajor that I have been inserting the fx loop and using the master volumes. I like the ability to control the volume with the mater but... I prefer the tone and response of the amp in hard bypass. The amp is also pretty noisy on some of the...

    bias on roadster

well...guess this must have been a stupid question...but still what possible damage can be done by switching the bias to el34 with 6l6's in the amp?

    bias on roadster

i think I may have strained a few tubes. I played the roadster for a couple of sets with the bias switched to el34 with the stock 6l6's. what would the most likely damage be? I am not happy with my clean tone. should I be concerned about this as a repair..or just start trading out some preamp...
