    Footswitch for mark iv

Best and cheapest solution I found when I was using a Mark IV was a Peavey Midipro. I got one used off ebay for around $150 I think (it's been a while). It has 8 switches and four loops which gave me midi control over all the switches of the Mark IV. Also allows you to access "channel zero"...

    WTB Mark IV Footswitch

I've got a footswitch from a m-basis 2000. Same thing only it's labeled differently and it doesn't have the connectors to mount on the back of a mark iv. one of the LED's doesn't work or is really dim (can't remember). I used it with one of my mark iv's before I sold it. let me know if you...

    Switcher/Midi/Etc.... Advice!

I think I spent around $150 for the peavey unit off of the 'bay and it did all of that and more. You'd also need a foot controller. I always used an older Ground Control and loved it - it has since died and I replaced it with a Rocktron Midimate which works just as well.

    Acoustic Simulator question

I had a Boss acoustic simulator pedal that I used into my mark iv and it sounded good enough. I ran it a little differently though. On the Mark IV when you're using an external switcher there is what I called "Channel Zero". According to my Boogie tech it's a known state that the factory...

    my G-Major died??? Help

Had some problems a while back with my G-Major freezing up and did get to talk to a human @ TC. He told me that they didn't want to skimp on tone quality so the units were built overseas somewhere - Korea maybe??and the workmanship/quality of materials left something to be desired. Essentially...

    Switcher/Midi/Etc.... Advice!

At one point I used a Peavey Midipro to change channels and throw switches on my mark iv and other rack gear. it also has 4 programmable loops that came in handy. One stomp on the foot controller and I could flip 8 switches and turn on or off all the loops. - worked great. From what I see on...

    Question for Mark IV owners

I think so - awesome lead tone as well. Be ready to spend some time tweaking though. Well worth it.

    New Mesa amp rumor!!

Back in January I had a guy come up after a gig and say "Boogie, huh?" referreing to my TA. He talked while I was packing up and I mentioned that I had a Mark IV as well. He told me that he had just gotten a Mark V with a hardwood cabinet off of ebay. I told him that no, he didn't. He...

    Triaxis and Midi

You have to make sure the TA is set to the same midi channel that the GC is sending on. the GC can send on multiple channels at once to different units depending on how you set it up.

    cabs...i know

Have to disagree with that - both my mark iv's sound incredible with my old marshall 412 - i think it's a '76 or so. almost as good as with the one i used to have with the greenbacks in it. the one i have now has 75 watt celestions in it i think - haven't had it open in a while. have never...

when changing Mark IV from Pentode/Triode or Simul/A

there's a jack (one of the external controller jacks) for class A/simul. There is not for triode/pentode. used this on the fly many times and no issues. That was my logic for giving it a shot.

    Who is your favorite guitarist?

changes from time to time but Nuno Bettencourt is at the top of my list. Danny Gatton has been there as well. My jaw hits the floor everytime I hear him play. Same with Roy Buchanan. My father-in-law is a tele guy an introduced me to these fellas several years ago...arguably as...

    Triaxis Phantom Power AC adaptor

So with the power supply into the back of the TA it will power the GC with a regular 5 pin MIDI cable? I knew it would power the abacus but thought that was it - kinda like the GC with the GCX (or so I heard). I never tried it that way - just assumed it needed the 7-pin. I'll have to try that...

    Triaxis Phantom Power AC adaptor

(disclaimer-again) - I can only speak for the older ground control - If you want to power the floor controller from the TA you need to use a midi cable with 7 pins on each end. The Rocktron cable you showed a few posts ago works great too but with it the the 5-pin end goes to the MIDI IN on...
