    No load question...

Well the cab has these really nice Neutrik jacks, so I can't exactly tighten them.. I think it was the speaker cable ends. Plus, I discovered the jack plate itself wasn't fully tightened down, so I'm sure it was vibrating 10x more than it should while I was playing.

    No load question...

Yesterday at band practice I had the master on my 2 channel Dual Rec up pretty high (around 1:30) and played for a couple hours with no problems. Then right at the end, I noticed the sound fizzle out. I hit a chord or two after it cut out before I ceased playing. I stood there for a second...

    2 channel Recto ohms question

I have this '96 Dual Rec here that has four speaker jacks labeled 8-16, 8-16, 4, 4. Do these 8-16 ohm jacks mean you can plug either an 8 or a 16 ohm cab in?

    Preamp tube question.

I currently have a Sovtek 12AX7 LPS in V2 of my Triple Rectifier. I have heard that this particular tube may die quickly and potentially cause damage to the amp IF the amp has a cathode follower stage. Will my Triple Rec be subjected to this? Does it have a cathode follower stage? Thanks.

No one else has any input?

    Quick question

This started before I took it in. Tech was a qualified Mesa repairman, the best in my city.

    Quick question

Oh really? Mesas sure are known for their fair share of pops and noises hahah. They sound SO much better than the stock Mesa tubes. Not as harsh, a bit more dimensional I found, more depth. Def. worth it.

    Quick question

So I fixed my noise problem with my Triple Rec. I took it in and apparently it was a cold solder on a dirty tube socket. Now, I was just wondering, whenever the amp is turned on, warms up, and then flipped off standby to play mode, it makes some scratchy crackle noise for about maybe two...

    Hum/Noise... Arrrghh

V5... what would happen if the tube isn't balanced for the PI?

    Hum/Noise... Arrrghh

Well god **** it. I just cleaned the preamp tube sockets thinking it was just crap interfering, but now it HUMS! No hiss, it hums loud as hell. So I swapped V1 with V2 and same ****. Do you think it's the tube in V5? (Phase inverter)

    Hum/Noise... Arrrghh

Well, you're right. It's not a hum, it's a hiss that goes "shhhhh" when I'm not playing. Volume at 11:00 and gain at noon. And it's not stupid loud, like I said it was significantly worse with the stock tubes. And when the loop is on it brings in a very slight buzz. Is this all just the nature...

    Hum/Noise... Arrrghh

Does anyone make a non-rackmount power conditioner? And will this seriously take care of some noise?
  14. R

    Hum/Noise... Arrrghh

It goes, guitar > Boss tuner > Decimator > Amp > Cab Thats it. And I don't like racks, so I don't want a power conditioner, maybe as a last resort. Does anyone make a power conditioner that can sit on the floor?

    Hum/Noise... Arrrghh

I was having some stupid crazy hum and noise problems with my Triple Rec, and thinking it was the tubes I just re-tubed it with JJs. Well the hum is a little bit better during idle at band volume, but it still makes quite a bit of noise. I'm running an ISP Decimator in front of the amp. Is this...

    Retube question

Well, I ordered the Triple Recto set. So I'm assuming they're the proper ones, haha.
  17. R

    Retube question

Nice, thanks. So when I do it, should I plug in and unplug each tube a few times to clean out the socket?
  18. R

    Retube question

    Even with JJs?
  19. R

    Retube question

I know if you're using Mesa tubes you don't need to bias, and I ordered the standard retube option for my Triple Recto from eurotubes.com. Will I have to bias the JJs?
