    Stolen F50 Alert! SN# F50 88 C0

Hello all. My Brand New F50 1x12 Combo was stolen last night after a show at Birdy's Nightclub here in Indianapolis, IN. It was taken along with the following gear: 1 Bass Guitar 2003 Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray SN# E36480 Black Body, black pick guard, maple fingerboard 3 band eq. Hipshot D...

    THD Yellowjackets in the F50.

My evaluation of the yellowjackets has been cut short. My brand new F50 1x12 combo was ripped off after a show last night at Birdy's in Indianapolis, IN along with other musical gear. Apparently, it sounded so good that someone had to steal it from me. Suffice it to say that the Yellowjackets...

    THD Yellowjackets in the F50.

What is this Eurotubes low gain thing? It sounds interesting. I agree with Surfcaster that the second channel of the F50 compresses too much. At least for my taste. Please elaborate. I've gigged the Dot extensively over the past 7 years. The Dot does feed back, but in a pleasant and...

    THD Yellowjackets in the F50.

Hi all. There are many F50 players out there who are curious about using THD Yellowjackets in their amp. I've recently installed the Yellowjackets in my F50 1x12 widebody combo. So far, I've only fiddle-farted with them at home, but I will post my impressions (for what its worth) over the next...

    mesa boogie for blues

Try a Blue Angel or an F30. The Blue Angel has progressive linkage and better reverb. Very sweet. The F30 has channel switching and would probably be cheaper second hand. More versatile. Both would be a good choice.

MWAH HA I now have 2 Mesas!! + F-100 reverb question

First disconnect the footswitch. Then turn up the reverb knob to see what happens. Still nothing? Try to swap out preamp tubes one after the other until it works. My guess would be V3 or V4 is bad. If that doesn't do it, have a tech check it out. Hope this helps.

    My First Clip!!

Sweet Rig. Great mic stand! I'm a huge fan of the head/2x12 set up. Even bigger fan of the German Shepherd! Maynard is a good looking guy. My GSD Kaiser is always with me when I play at home. He's as important to my playing as my Mesa! What gear did you use to record your clip? Keep up...

    Buzz in my Boogie???? F-Series????

My F50 works great now! I swapped the driver tube for the phase inverter tube (V1 for V4) and it stopped making that annoying squeal. I knew it had to be simple. :D Thanks to everyone who helped me out!!

    Buzz in my Boogie???? F-Series????

No Kidding! I was suprised to see the tubes in place (sort of) when I opened the box. I'll try swapping the preamp tubes. V1 with V4, then V2 with V4 and so on until I find the little bugger. Thanks for the suggestion!!

    Buzz in my Boogie???? F-Series????

**** the luck! I just got my F-50 after waiting 6 weeks without an amp to play. I brought it home with much excitement (much like a kid with his first Millenium Falcon!) and unboxed it only to find that one of the 6L6s was shattered. I got a replacement pair the next day, but noticed that...

    Buzz in my Boogie???? F-Series????

I'm sorry about the trouble you are having with your F30. The symptoms you describe seem to point to a microphonic tube or tube socket. 1. Bang on the top of your amp with your fist (like Fonzie). Does it make a similar sound? Sort of like a buzz or jingle? To find the bad tube, leave the...

    Newbie help

Everyone is leading you in the right direction. For blues/roots music, the simpler the better. For rock, flexibility is always a bonus. The Blue Angel would be my first choice for a specialized blues/roots amp, with the Maverick a close second. Both have a very sweet tone that will let your...

    MESA MARK I...... AWESOME!

I thought you always had to use Mesa tubes in Mesa amps because of the fixed bias. Won't other brands of tubes burn out faster or hurt the amp or is this just a myth?

    Tremolo pedal suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions!! Both the Area 51 and Fulltone solutions look very appealing. I'll check them out.

    Tremolo pedal suggestions.

My trusty old Voodoo Labs Trem pedal has suffered a horrible death (mildew damage). I'm thinking about buying another one. It sounded great and gave me about 8 years of solid performance. Are there any others brands I should try just for fun?

    F-50 owners?

Yes. I've owned a DC-5 and have an F50 on order right now. The DC-5 is a fine amp, but it was not for me. I just couldn't get the clean sound I wanted from it and had a hard time getting a brown low gain crunch sound that worked for me. I gave the DC-5 an honest try, but it lasted one gig...
