I had UPS drop a box/cabinet so hard it broke the magnet off the speaker. The box didnt have a dent. UPS paid up eventually.

I installed the Mesa Back Shadow C90 in place of V30 in my 1x12 combo. It gave the amp a more modern sound, deeper lows. But I wound up putting the V30 back in. I like the crunch and smoothness of it better. I'd like to try a Greenback next.

I posted this in another thread. I'm waiting for a Mesa Black shadow C90 to show up I just bought. I'm hoping that will tame the highs and add some bottom. Tubes i've been swapping like crazy. Sure are ***** to get them 12ax7's in. :D

I just bought a Mesa Black Shadow to try in my 1x12 combo. I want to see if this will give a little more bass and kill the V30 high end. I read a HC review where someone did this and were quite pleased with the results.

How close does the tolex match up? It looks real nice!
