Same thing happened to me with my .22+ Amp needed a repair for something so when I had it done, I asked the guy to clean her insides up a bit and I haven't had the problem since.

I'm very interested int his topic as well. I would like a more fenderish reverb but I have heard of the howling reverb feedback problem with these amps. Will that possibly be worse with a larger tank? My reverb tank is bagged to cut down on that issue.

The drop outs were due to a dirty effects loop. A very common problem from what I've read. I was putting a small jumper plugged into the effects loop but I had him clean it properly so I didn't have to feel like I had a band aid on it.

I'm not sure about all Boogies. I've only got the Studio .22+ and mine has it intact still. I believe the plastic pieces that hold the aluminum have been known to break so people have gone without the tube protector.

I have fender blues deluxe and that can be a really saturated reverb. It's almost like I want to find a middle ground. If I can split the difference between my studio 22 and the blues deluxe. You think a full reverb tank will do it?

Bill, can you elaborate on why? Is it the same dimensions just more springs? What's the difference in sound with full size?
