Jackie stated his opinion and your jumping on him for it. Didn't the original poster ask what he should do?
If you don't agree with him fine, post what you would do but calling him a joke and implying he can't play?
Yeah I know they are 110v. What i want to know is if the stock power transformers also have 240v taps inside them.
I have a Marshall, that has both 240v and 120 volt taps. It took me 5 minutes to convert it to 240v. Simple matter of changing a fuse and desoldering and soldering two wires.
Have 240 volt taps in their power transformers? Or do the Mesa's shipped overseas have special international PT's ?
I want to ship a USA Stiletto into Australia
Don't forget technique here as well. When I got my Recto 2x12 i found it way to flabby.
I found that it sounded a lot tighter when I started using less palm pressure when muting
Does anyone happen to know the specs of the Orange channels master volume pot?
I pretty sure its 1 meg, but am not sure of the taper or tolerance
Thanks
I've bought heaps of tubes over the years and the best guy I've ever dealt with for Mesa tubes is Bryan Sanborn.
He sells on ebay. His user name is bmsanborn. Here is his email <bryansanborn(at)comcast.net>
He can supply you a very tightly matched quad.
If you run your amp quite loud it...
Try this out for a TS 9 clone but with double the gain and all the boutique features http://www.miaudio.com/BP_Intro.htm
Its cool and nothing beats it for the price.
I've used both the 2 and 3 channel heads. At the moment I have a 2 channel and don't think i would buya 3 channel again.
To me the 2 channel sounded less processed.....If that makes any sense?
