    Rectifier tube.

    The rectifier tube in my MV went out after about 3-4 months. It was still under warranty, of course, so they sent me a new one right away. It took the fuse with it when it went, too. Funny thing, my band mate has a Vox AC30, and the rectifier went out on his amp shortly after mine. I got to...

    Is the FX Loop post Reverb?

    By that logic, the master EQ section would be in front of the FX loop as well... I'd love to see a signal flow diagram of the V. Anybody got one?

    Please list pedals that DO NOT work well in the FX loop

    I tried running my Keeley mod Tube Screamer in the loop and got major feedback on channel 1 with the verb on. My conclusion was that the FX loop is post-reverb, not sure though. I posted the question in a this thread.

    Is the FX Loop post Reverb?

    The other day I tried running my Keeley Tube Screamer in the FX loop, thinking it'd be nice to be able to hard bypass it. When I activated it on channel 1, clean, reverb at 70% (I like it wet :wink: ), I got tremendous feedback, and my conclusion was that it was a result of the Tube Screamer...

    Input overload when using wah pedal

    Has anyone else experienced this? My signal chain is: G&L ASAT -> MC404 WAH -> Mark V (channel 1, clean, bold off) The sound starts to break up when I put my heel down on the wah. It seems the only way to make it not happen is to lower the volume on the guitar. Is the input on channel 1...

    using a 1x15 with a MV?

    I've tried running my V into an open back 1x15 with a vintage JBL D130. Channel one sounds great, but higher gain sounds on chnls 2 and 3 loose their impact. This probably has a lot to do with the cab being open back, causing the low end to get a bit floppy.

    Noise on channels 1 and 3. Replaced V1 and V3, no change.

    Didn't check the phase inverter because channel 2 is clean. I might give that a shot though just to be thorough.

    Noise on channels 1 and 3. Replaced V1 and V3, no change.

    Problem: Noise (like white noise or static hiss) on channels 1 AND 3. Happens with or without guitar plugged in, FX loop in or out, reverb off. Troubleshooting attempts: Replaced V1 and V3 with new Mesa 12AX7, no change. Checked all other tubes by tapping with a pencil, nothing unusual...
