    Post your rig part 2

Hey MichaelC4, mind me asking where you got the 50+?
  2. R

    CL gold!!

I got a Mesa Boogie 50 Cal +, plus a Thiele cab with an EVM 12 a few years back for $300. That rig sounded awesome

Sound clip - Mesa Roadster, RA, Diezel Hagen, Axe FX

I like it a lot! Rhythm guitars could be just a bit louder though, imo. Also, the part at 1:12 kinda reminded me of a part from Mushroomhead's Solitaire Unraveling.

Replacement Chrome Plate for Triple Rec

Damn, if I only I saw this sooner. I would have traded you your black diamond plate for my silver. :(

    50 Caliber vs 5:25

The .50 caliber plus does. The regular 50 caliber doesn't

Better tone when effects loop is engaged?...................

I keep the loop out on my triple. It is much tighter, crunchier, and all around better without it. The only thing is, the volume level LOL. With just the one master, it is god awfully loud! I can't crack the master past 7:00 without hurting my ears :P It still sounds amazing though

I just bought a Dual Rec. for $100

What power amp do you have that recto pre going through, and how does it sound? It doen't look like a 2:100

    Question about Slave Outs

Instead of buying a second recto head just to be used as the power section, I'd consider buying a recto stereo power amp, and using that. It will save you money, and you won't have one recto's preamp section just sitting there, being unused. Just my 2 cent's :)

What does your Boogie nail best?

Since I have been changing the tubes up a bit, and really tweaking it at high volumes, I have been getting the classic metallica tone, or very close to it. I use that for my thrash metal, and power metal stuff. When I do my death metal stuff and tune to C or B, I use my recto, since it sounds...

    Dual Rectifier Metal Clips

The 50 cal + was actually made before the rectifiers came out. I may redo these clips through a Studio pre/295 rig I just got

    Dual Rectifier Metal Clips

I re-amped the Mago and Lasse DI pack from the Sneap forum. First clip is my Recto with an SD-1 boosting it, going into a Randall warhead 4x12 with V30's http://www.netmusicians.org/files/95-Mago%20Lasse%20Reamp%203.mp3 Just for an extra, a clip of my 50 caliber + through the same set up as...

    Recto pre with 295??

How much does it weigh? 75 LBS? My rack is already really heavy LOL. The only thing holding me back from buying this, is the Money. I can't make up my mind weather I should sell my peavey ultra plus for this... :?

    Recto pre with 295??

I found a 295 for $400 on craigslist, and I need a power amp for my recto pre. Has anyone tried this? How does it sound? I also want another power amp so I can run my recto pre and 50 cal together in stereo. Should I wait for a recto power amp instead of the 295?

Triaxis into dual rec power amp

When you go into modern on channel 2 and 3, there is a negative feedback loop in the power amp stage. The negative feedback loop makes it louder, punchier, and thicker.
