wonder how much a short head cab cost......I have a long cab and I just bought a vertical 2x12........head is wider than the speaker.....looks kinda silly.........but sounds like GOD.

you try a graphic eq in the effects loop. lots of us has had a lot of success with that. the favoritess are the boss ge7 pedal and the mxr 10 band pedal. good luck.

I played a head and 1x12 cab in a store once and the cab had a v30 in it. I loved it!! so thats why I am thinking of getting a recto cab or an avatar vintage 2x12

anyone dropped a celetion V30 in their LSC combo cabs? I am thinking about doing it with my 1x12. want to know your experiences.

Boogies retain a much higher resell value. if you want something else at least sell it and then buy something else in stead of the trade deal. that way you will have some money left to get the mods done to make it sound as good as the TR you just sold............heheheh. :idea: :idea:

hey which guitars are you using on your clips?

I have heard that boogie tubes run cool. is this true? and its ok to get the hotter tubes? tell me more, I bought my LSC used, maybe a retube is instore. what about preamp tubes any one using other than boogie tubes?

I have a head and I am going for a more rock sound, I have replace the 6L6's with El34's and that has worked great! now I am looking to upgrade the speaker cabinet. I have been thinking some V30's would rock it up well. so I am asking if anyone out there is using a recto cab with thier LSC.

nope the Recto's have the Mesa logo, not Mesa/Boogie logo. hey to the fellow that owns one: can you tell me the measurements of it? I have been trying to find it online but keeps comming up with the recto's. I want to know if my lonestar head will fit on it. the head is 26 3\4 inches long...

and dont forget the LSC can use yellow jacket EL84's too. so this means you can use: 6l6's for high head room fender tones.....twin reverb 6v6's for low wattage fender tones.....delux reverb EL34's for Marshall like tones........Plexi with the "thick" switch engaged! El84's for the sweet Vox...

yeah, very subtle cuts in the mid area is all that are needed. I just couldnt get a good distortion sound, there was this inherant mid tone that was killing me. got the eq and just a very subtle cut did the trick, took the whool blanket off of the speakers, so to speak. that settin works fine on...
