Mk IV W/Body C90 alternative speaker fit

Just checking to see if anyone has swapped the Celestion C90 in their Mk IV Wide body for an EVM 12L, Eminence Delta Pro or indeed any other. They both look to have bigger cages than the C90, Is there enough room ? With the extra weight, Is it enough to just use the 4 holes from the C90 fitting...

    WTB: EVM 12L Thiele cab - UK/Europe - Red sea !

Well, not too long ago there were a few around but can't find any at all now ! There is one in Germany atm, but the seller won't ship to anywhere that doesn't use the euro. However, I can pay in shekel's, if need be ! So, if anyone has one that's under the bed, gathering dust or just generally...

Must Have effects for the Mark IV

I use a Budda Wah, the build quality is superb, pedal travel good, quiet and true bypass. Original Boss CE 1 chorus ensemble and Tube screamer TS9. For Multi FX - a Sony DPS V77 in the FX loop. This is a studio module more than a dedicated guitar processor, but it's a great unit and there are...

Is it extremely simple to move the 230v tap to 240?

Why would you be wanting to change from 230 to 240v ? The UK's voltage used to be 240v but changed to 230 volts nominal: normally a single-phase supply, with a permitted range of voltage variation from plus 10% to minus 6%. just curious

Further on, say, what's the possibility of a Widebody Thiele, in the trad Mesa style (jute/vinyl), which they have neglected to provide for the Widebody combo owners ? Any idea of shipping prices to the UK/Europe ? Lyn

Mark IV Reverb Problem - Help!

Well Matt, the only other thing that was suggested by a tech, here in the UK was, it could be capacitor related. My IV B is a '95 model. But, with your amp only being 5 years old, I wouldn't have thought so. Lyn

Mark IV Reverb Problem - Help!

Have you swapped the valves positions ? Try swapping v3 and v4 (to and from the reverb) with say v2 and v5, to rule out any valve problem. I had big problems with reverb hum on my Mk IV, tried all you've done and more. Finally nailed it down to the fan of all things ! When I unplugged it, the...

    Mark IV recording out

Don't forget the amount of signal available, from the Recording Out, is determined by the Masters AND the Output Level. For example, you might not be driving the Output, or Masters, hard enough because it's (acoustically in the room) too loud. In that case, you could try using Tweed Power or...

Mk IV Fan noise - off for recording ?

Anyone else bothered with the fan noise for close miked recording ? Do any users go for the silent recording DI ? My thoughts would be to unplug it. Shouldn't be a problem for a few hours, should it ? Does the fan get noisier with time, bearings wear out etc ? Worth replacing or not ? Lyn
