too much to lug-- if it had wheels it would have been doable.. its tough to be rushing to get ready for a rehearsal, running a big cabinet out to the car (over sheets of ice and snow).. the recto is not what i'm looking for in terms of a lead tone, but has wheels.. the stiletto cab is for me

i guess you'd have to send a clip of the tone he had dialed in.. but in terms of what I enjoyed out of my lonestar special -- i can get it, except it doesn't sound overly dark, and has a tighter bottom end

I switched to an 8ohm recto cab, from an orange cab.. and the recto is not what i am looking for, in terms of a lead tone.. I got it because its much easier for me to lug.. it really was getting annoying to haul the giant orange cab EVERY DAY from place to place.. gahhh.. i'm waiting for a...

I shouldn't have assumed, you're right.. I guess I just don't take offense on forums, after being on so many that are just a war of opinions..

Sorry, i'm just seeing this a lot lately.. And yes, i personally usually elevate or tilt the cabinet / amp.. If you're using the filter, I understand how you would dial the tone in different, but if you're not, its simply a mistake, in my opinion.. unless you have your amp sidewashing the stage...

i'd LOWER or ditch you're EMG's.. Keep the gain AND master really low on the clean channel, and balance the other channels to fit.. don't dial your tone in at a bedroom volume, do it at a gig volume, or relatively loud, and do it with ur speakers pointing at your face..

i hate it as much as i hate the reverb on the lonestar.. by the time you turn it up enough to where it is audible when you're actually playing, it sustains for like 4 seconds.. i much prefer fender reverb

no problems here, other than addiction to its versatility, which leads to a lot of tweaking!
