    Rectifier Light Bulb

Why do you want to replace it? Too hot, too bright, not bright enough??

    Fan on or off?

I would leave the fan on. Cheap enough to replace if it goes. The extra cooling cant hurt. It was designed to be there and on and running.

    Greenbacks and Vintage 30's.

Greenies on the top, Vintage 30's on the bottom in a 4 X 12.

    SED 34's

Slight differences in setups I assume. I am using a RKII head so there is probably a difference there. I am also using a Marshall 4 X 12 cabinet with 2 Greenbacks and 2 Vintage 30's wired in an X pattern. I am using a Les Paul Studio with .09 to .46's so I am sure there is slight differences...

    SED 34's

Well since I am 46 years old I am partial to classic rock. I use the Svetlanas in my RKII and both my Riveras. I used to love the SED's but the Svets are my favorite tube. The Svets dont have that crushing bottom end but I use a 4 X 12 cabinet so getting the low end thump isnt a problem. I like...

    SED 34's

The SED =C= has too much bottom end for me and are boomy, too boomy. I like the Svetlana EL 34's. Easier on the wallet too.

    Roadster for LoneStar

Since the Lonestar cleans are already in the Roadster, why do you want to get rid of it. Your styles may change and you may want that Recto sound again. I would hang on to it.

    New tunes recorded with Roadster

    Nothing wrong. Sounds great.

Has Mesa moved away from the Boogie name?

Maybe Mesa Engineering sounds more upscale and boutique. Boogie is well like, snot.

roadking....much difference in sound with diff output tubes?

When I had my Single-Recto and my Roadster I found I was swapping tubes like crazy. Back and forth, back and forth. So when my Roadster fried on the third day of ownership, I decided on biting the bullet and getting the RKII. I am not sorry to say the least. And there is a huge difference in...

Strange T-Verb Tube Bias Readings with Bias-Rite

My old Fender Twin amp has a fixed bias and is at 21 ma. My Mesa RKII is the about the same. Biased cold for sure. I run my Riveras at 38 ma.

    Dating a Maverick

You will have to call Mesa on that one. There is no rhyme or reason to the serial #s. Kinda like Fender.

    Roadster Combo or Halfstack

The combo is very heavy. I had a Roadster combo that went up in smoke so I returned it and ordered the RKII head and 2X12 cab. Much easier to move.

    Roadking II combo fan noise

Nine is noisey too. You can go to any computer store and buy something better. They arent too expensive.
