Here in the US there's a saying, "That's like comparing Oranges with Apples".

Its like if two people are comparing, contrasting, debating between two items that have more dissimilarities then similarities we call that "Comparing Apples with Oranges"

So basically I thought I tried to be funny with a pun and say if you are compaing 'that' amplifier to the "Orange" Thunder Verb, its like compaing "Apples with Oranges" - get it pun, => Orange Amplification

Arent some of the Orange Amps made in China?

Some are, yes. The Tiny Terror and the Crush series are made in China (though the TTs were being made in Korea until recently, I believe). The Rocker and AD series are made in England.
