how to know if my amp is simul-class or not ?

Look at the back panel of your amp. On the top right-hand side there should be a toggle switch with a label that reads "Simul-Class" (top) and "Class A" (bottom). If the label reads "100" (top) and "60" (bottom), that it should be a 60/100W amp. Check out the back panel photos on Boogiewan...

What is the current market value of a C+ simul combo?

I think you misunderstood what GeoBull said. If I have not mistaken, he meant: If your Mk.IIC comes with NEITHER the EQ NOR reverb, the IIC+ upgrade mod is $300. But.... If your Mk.IIC comes with EITHER the EQ OR reverb, the C+ upgrade will cost an extra $50 (i.e. $350). If your Mk.IIC...

Found a Mark IIC+ no EQ 60 watt combo FS

If the seller is local, why not call and arrange to bring your guitar over to check it out? Sure beats shopping sight unseen.

The Grail arrives - IIC+ content

Wow, what an amazing find. I would put in a pair of EL-34 and save those STR-415. Those 6L6 tubes were well-built and I would not be surprised if there is still a lot of life out of them.

MarkIIC combo: Vintage 30 or celestion custom 90 ?

I never knew the sotry behind the Black Shadow speakers and why Mesa switched their Black Shadow line from 150W to 90W Celestions. But man, that 150W Balck Shadow speaker sounds great with my IIC|, rounded and dark indeed. I was never really bothered to find out if the EV-12L would sound...

MarkIIC combo: Vintage 30 or celestion custom 90 ?

My IIC| came stock with a Black Shadow speaker that was rated at 150W (possibly Eminence OEM), according to the sales brochure at the time (The 200-watt EV12L speaker was available as extra cost). IIRC, Mesa did not start fitting 90W Black Shadow (Celestion OEM) speakers on Mark series amps...

Question: Should I mod my Mkii c

I have a "IIC |", serial number 12***. The amp (150W Black Shadow speaker, reverb and export) was built on week 47 of 1983 and I am the original owner. It has the "Pull Deep" face plate as well. I am glad to learn that there is at least one other IIC owner with a "|" mark on the power cord and...

European Fellas could help me out????

It is 110v or 220v (both at 60Hz), depending on which part of Brazil. I was also told that 240v is applied in certain areas, though as an exception. IIRC, Rio and Sao Paulo are not 220v.

    Touching tubes when changing them

I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I always use a lint-free cloth to grab the tubes. In addition to preventing my sweaty hand from leaving marks on the glass, it can also offer some sort of protection in case the tubes are still a bit on the warm side.

Wow, fried in two days.

    5881=6L6

Yep, this is what I reckon when I put a pair of Sovtek 5881's into my Mk.II. They cut off some of the high frequencies and I had to turn the amp's master volume further up to get the same volume projection. I have a few NOS Tung-Sol 5881's and my tech told me NOT to use them on old Boogie amps.

Another prob with my mark iic+ head. Please Help.....

Like everyone said, try to speak with Mike B. It might be a good idea to open up the chassis in case he needs to have some idea of the current state of the head. Good luck.

Another prob with my mark iic+ head. Please Help.....

If you don't mind the wait and the shipping expenses, why not send the head to Mesa and let them work on it?

Please identify this amp, is it a bargain?
