Sweet set up! Yeah you would think that the lower ohms would produce more power. It says the same thing in the catalog too. I wanted a 6x10, and had to wait on it because mesa had to build it. The dealer let me use a powerhouse 4x10...I miss that sucker. The 6x is almost impossible to handle...

I own a 6x10, and I love the sound. For one nighters it was killing me. I bought an old diesel 2x10 that was worn out, and rebuilt it to handle 600w @ 4 ohms. My only complaint is that the handles rattle, and I need to buy a combo stand so I can angle the little sucker up, so its not pointed...

Nice practice space there bro. Post some in progress pics please! You can always add a 1x15 matching cabinet @ 8ohm if you want an extension cabinet, bringing you load down to 4ohms. It will be enough in the room trust me.

Finally got the correct capacitor for the tweet application. Thanks Steve!!! There were wood screws holding the speakers in place...I don't think so skippy. I bought t nuts and 1" pan head screws to hold them in there tight. This little sucker thumps. The handles rattle when I really crank the...

Look closely at the speakers I removed... They are eminence.They cabinet was previosly reworked, poorly rated speakers at that. I estimated them to be deltas 150 w and checked them with a meter...16 ohm Do you still want them? If they were ev's I would have had them recoiled/reconed.

Here are the conversion pics. The cabinet was reworked at one time. I'm going back 4 ohm on it onstead of 8. I don't like the speaker mounting screws...wood screws. I may convert them to the internal type wood spiked nut. Whatever they are called...LOL I'm waiting on the tweet to come...

Could be plain worn out. I have replaced/ recoiled p.a. subs on a yearly basis. But those babes get a premium work out.

Find somebody that has a powerhouse 15, and take a close gander at it. Measure everthing on it. But I'm with THB on talk bass forums. Lots of good info there. Look into buying an empty cab from avatar, or similar mfg too.
