I have an ART 131HD 31 band EQ. I think it's really close in price to the DBX 31 band. I like it. It's really quiet and seems to work very well for what I need.

Some guitars are also wired with independent volumes rather than two master volumes. It depends how its set up. Some don't shut the whole guitar off in the middle position.

That is what Mesa told me. 1 8 ohm in 4 ohm jack A, 1 8 ohm in 4 ohm jack B. Not 2 cabs in A or 2 cabs in B or 2 8 ohm cabs in the 8 ohm jacks.

So what's the general consensus on series/parallel wiring options for pickups. I've been thinking about wiring options lately. I like having the coil splitting option but I'm wondering if series/parallel switching is a nice feature or something that just never gets used. Any opinions anyone?

Hey, you may want to try a good EQ in the loop too. I'll tell you what, I hardly ever turn mine off now. It may not necessarily be for everyone, but make an amp come to life it does. It really tightens it up, more so than an OD, I think, and makes it extra brutal sounding. Just a thought though.

I have both. I bought the Mark because I missed the tightness when using the RK ( this is my second Mark IV). Not that I don't like my RK, but what these gentlemen say is exactly true.

I really enjoy the clean channel on the Mark, probably more than my RK and that's suppose to have the lonestar cleans.
