    Power tube Problem

    Guys thanks for the help. I took the advice had the amp checked out by a Mesa service Tech. 1 power tube blown ( I knew that ) and V2 Pre amp tube. Grid resistors checked out and amp was given the complete check up. Switches and sockets cleaned also. Happy to have it back :D

    The black stuff was not much at all yes still have warranty and yes this is a mesa 440 6l6.Socket looked clean. Wouldn't the fuse have blown before and grid resistor damage ?

    Had practice yesterday and my amp was making some crazy noises. At first thought it was the flourecent lights turned the light switch off back on amp sounds normal. Hour into practice it comes back put the amp in standy by turn lights off back on flip the standy switch poof one of my power tubes...

    When I turn my Dual Rec on with the footswitch plugged in it seems to always go to channel # 2 also while playing changing channels when I come back to channel # 2 I can hear a little pop noise.

I spoke with their tech support and per Mesa they are getting the vintage 30's they put in the cabs from England the real deal not the import ones made in china don't know if that makes a difference.     Carvin Amps

    I have had Carvin gear since the late 80's. It's good stuff. I currently have 3 guitars by them a V3 Head and the Legacy 2x12 cab. Had and sold a Carvin MTS3200 Head. I like the V3 Head its pretty nice and sound good once you find your sound it takes alittle time to dial it in so it's not a plug...

    Rectifier 4x12 CAB

    I have a question about what the actual wattage of the cab is. On mesa's web site it say's it is 240 watt cab but I picked one up yesterday and on the input jack it say's it is 280 watts. Just wondering if anybody can school me on this. Thanks for your time.
