Effects Processor Stopped Controlling Tri Axis

I have an old Roland GP 8 effects process that I use to control the channels on my Tri-Axis. I've been using it this way for years. I was messing around tonight because I was programming other channels and trying to get the channel to match the preset. I don't know what I did, but I pressed...

Boogie Cabinet with C90s and EVM12Ls

Thanks guys. It's a 4X12. I e-mailed the guy to see if it was a half back or not and haven't heard back. I'm very comfortable with soldering and wiring (mostly pick ups), how hard is it to swap out speakers? The combination of C90s and V30s like in a Road Kind cab might be cool as well. And...

Boogie Cabinet with C90s and EVM12Ls

I posted this in the vintage amp forum but this might be the better spot and I apologize for the double posts. I just saw a great deal on an older Boogie cabinet loaded with EVM12Ls and Black Shadows. I've been kind of targeting one with V30s as I generally like their sound, but this deal may...

    Boogie Cabinet Question

I'm not even sure if this is the right forum although I couldn't figure out where to put this so I apologize in advance. I just saw a great deal on an older Boogie cabinet loaded with EVM12Ls and Black Shadows. I've been kind of targeting one with V30s as I generally like their sound, but this...

Looking For Tech For Phat Mod Replacement in Chicago

I live in the NW burbs of Chicago and am looking for a good amp tech to take out the "Phat Mod" from my Triaxis. A couple years back I tried calling around based on the ones I found on Boogie's site but none of them had a clue. Does anyone know someone in the area who can do this...

A/B'ed the 50/50 with another power amp. Mesa wins!

I have the same version you have, I like it a ton as well.

    TRIAXIS LACKS MIDS FOR ME?

What kind of guitar and pick ups are you using? Those can be factors as well. What is your 2X12 loaded with speaker wise? The tri does seem to be naturally heavier in the bass department and lower in the mid and treble though. I feel I can EQ that stuff out, but from a baseline perspective...

    Master of Puppets clip

I liked yours best by far man, nice job. The 6505 wasn't too bad either. The Engl's and the other clips sounded just dreadful.

Triaxis phat mod with recto board?

It would seem that you have the version I have, with the recto board and the fat mod. Still, I'd call Mesa to be 100% certain. As to the preferred version, that's really a matter of opinion. It seems most folks prefer the verison which has the recto board without the fat mod, over the other...

    Proud New owner needs help

You also have to factor in what kind of guitars and pick ups they're using. I definitely think putting a boost (some type of OD or a clean boost like a duncan pick up booster), in front of the amp will help. There's something about the type of tone that drives that's really cool, and its the...

Triaxis phat mod with recto board?

    Rect mod for Triaxis

Look at this link here: http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?t=26042&highlight=fat+mod Here's a cut and paste from another post about the various versions: 1st version released 1992 - no V2.0 Continuous Control TX4 Board (or recto board) added 1/25/1993 #T1631 2/16/93 2.0 software...

What preamps are you guys using........

Tri-Axis into a 50/50 power amp. (older one with the low power) Also use a Roland GP-8 effects processor (old school I know!), TS-9 OD and a Seymour Duncan pick up booster. Cab is a Carvin 4X12 with 75 watt Celestions.

    Metallica tone (sorry..)

I'll chime in even though I don't own a Mark IV. (triaxis here) Hitting the front end with a clean boost is just awesome. For years I never knew about it, then about four or 5 years ago I started using a good old TS-9 and have never looked back. (I tried tons of ODs from guitar center and...
