Rect mod for Triaxis

I have been using Mesa amps for years now but am just getting into rack mounts. I am about to buy a Triaxis but someone on another board told me that there are models with "Rect mods" and "Phat mods". From what I've read the Phat mod doesnt sound that great, but is there really such a thing as the Rect mod? Thanks!

Here's a cut and paste from another post about the various versions:

1st version released 1992 - no V2.0 Continuous Control

TX4 Board (or recto board) added 1/25/1993 #T1631

2/16/93 2.0 software continuous control added

#T5200 - Phat Mod Added

10/2004 - TX4 Board (recto board) removed #T8279
