is your Boss SD-1 too noisy?

Try turning the drive down and see if that changes anything. Are you sure its your SD-1? Have you maybe tried narrowing it down to maybe a faulty cable or amp component?

    Rack with Amp Heads

I bought one for my roadster with 6 spaces, and I fully regret ever making that purchase. The case is horrible IMO. The build quality is very poor and if you're doing any kind of gigging I would not recommend it at all. But if its just sitting in your house and not moving much, then its...

    Rack with Amp Heads

Yeah, you have to get them custom made. So be prepared to pay a pretty penny for one. I've seen some 1 head, 6 spaces go for over $600

Hey guy im new, rig pics... :)

From the looks of it, the 2nd head is a back-up since there aren't any cables running to it. But I could very well be wrong if these are older photos or he's changed it up.

Hey guy im new, rig pics... :)

Very nice rig. I've been looking for a new shelf, one similar to yours. Being the nosy and curious person I am, where'd you get yours and how much did it cost?

What amp to get this tone

Definitely the Roadking/Lonestar rig there. Could probably get away with using just the Roadking though.

Not very known, but if you can try looking into Diamond cabs. I saw Five Finger Death Punch, and one of the guitarist had Diamond amps and cabs and his sound was MASSIVE.

GC Pro, GCX & Dual Rectifer Question

Set the switch to "footswitch", this will default it to no channel, but will be clean if no channel has been selected. Then, wire up your channels/FX loops respectively to how you want them, but make sure only one channel loop is active at a time. Sorry if this really isn't clear, I'll try to...

    Mesa Amp Advice?

Definitely check out the Roadsters/RoadKing and Stilletos as mentioned above. Also, Rectos popping isn't a major issue. Just cycle through the channels while on standby a few times. Weird story to share: I've always had popping issues. But now that I have a midi system (external controls on...

    Weight: Roadster combos

Well if the head weighs about 50 pounds, add in speakers and more weight from wood and material... You're probably looking at 80-100 lbs roughly.
