Where do you guys get yours built? Mesa? I'm gonna need a rack that will house 2 Heads, and approx. 6 spaces for other units.

Yeah, you have to get them custom made.

So be prepared to pay a pretty penny for one. I've seen some 1 head, 6 spaces go for over $600

I used NY Case. Their quality is OK but their price is right.

You can call them up and they'll make you anything.

I bought one for my roadster with 6 spaces, and I fully regret ever making that purchase. The case is horrible IMO.

The build quality is very poor and if you're doing any kind of gigging I would not recommend it at all.

But if its just sitting in your house and not moving much, then its decent.

That's just my opinion though.

Hmmmm....Mesa built my 12 space, so i wonder if they'll build me something custom.... I'll give them a call next monday and see what's up.

Stay away from New York Case Company!!! I bought one of their cases and it was complete garbage.

Check out Angstrom cases, Maxline cases, or if your looking for something really nice, A & S Cases.

The other guitarist in my band has that one, and it's basically indestructible. Great case company. I'm more than likely going to get those eventually for my gear.

Another company is Angstram Cases on Ebay (owner is named Sdaoust)

I have 2 of their cases and they make good products too, very rugged, and are a little less expensive than the Rock Hard Cases. Both companies have very friendly owners who will answer any questions you might have about their products.

Thanks for those sites. Rockhardcases.com is exactly what I'm looking for.
Thanks again!

yikes. i just got a quote of over $850 for a case with a 4 space rack

Yeah, rock hard is definitely an extra couple hundred bucks. Does anyone else have experience with angstram or maxline?

Stumbled across this a while back.

I haven't bought anything from them so I can't comment on build quality, but prices seem right.

I bought cases from RockHard about a year ago. Mark was great to work with. The price was close between RockHard and Anvil / Calzone (same company, but I talked to both reps). I'll post pics of the cases for my MarkIV short combo and EV Thiele in a bit.

yeah id recommend anvil/calzone as the best out there. Agstrom and maxline are also very good but i feel anvil and calzone are the best in the biz. A few guys I'm friends with have agstrom and maxlines over on hcaf and they are extremely happy and tell me the cases are well built and handle the abuse. A few of my friends in a few touring bands are using anvil and calzone and gig 24/7 so ill tell you that those will hold up to what ever you throw at them but are slightly more expensive. id say if you can handle a lil extra weight go for 3/8" or 1/2" as it holds up better and is worht the extra protection. If you cant handle a lil extra weight and your not giggin 24/7 go 1/4". just know that a dual head case is HEAVY and by HEAVY i mean around 150lbs depending on the size of the head and size of the rack.

so yeah its def more convenient but if u have to deal with stairs or have a rough time lifting stuff it can be a bit of a pain
