Problem RA-100 Channel Switching / Power Soak issues

Well actually, believe it or not, it turned out to be the dang cable. He resoldered all the joints and it has been faultless ever since. I could not believe it. I checked hte cable myself and everything seemed fine not to mention that the cable worked fine in the back socked - just not in hte...

Problem RA-100 Channel Switching / Power Soak issues

Thanks for your replies. The amp has been off at the authorised repairer for a few weeks now. Haven't heard anything back yet so I guess it wasn't straight forward. I will let you all know what it turned out being - just in case others on the forum have similar issues.

Warming up live tones with the Mark V

Must admit that I'm with LesPaul70 on this one. I too used a GT-8 and no matter what I did I could never get past the difference in sound between having it plugged in verses playing straight into the amp. I have played without any effects for years now and love the convenience of it but - over...

    Gettin' an FX8

I'm interested to hear what it is like with your RA. Will you use 2,3, or 4 cable method ? Thx.

    Drive pedals with RA100?

Are you using them in front of the amp or in the loop ... are they with some type of pedal switching / loop switcher hardware ? Is it happening on all channels or just one I have used them in front of my RA100 and have not experienced any issues. Regards, Peter

Problem RA-100 Channel Switching / Power Soak issues

Hi Elvis - thanks for the info. I do run the multi-soak all of the time. I also run the fan on hi just to be sure. In Melbourne Australia - it is early spring so temperatures are pretty mild. Sunday arvo when it happened it was a nice 21 degrees so I suspect this is not the culprit. I will...

Problem RA-100 Channel Switching / Power Soak issues

Hi All A while ago I noticed that the foot switch would stop switching between channels or only go between clean and red modes. When I jiggle the cable the channels will switch back and forth, and then it will work for a while. In trying to work out what the issue was, I started to use the...

    broken triaxis - possibly dead

Hi All I sent my triaxis in for repair as it had the following issues with; 1. will only respond to even numbered patches and preset changes for example - changing to patch 05 will end on patch 06. Changing to patch 06 ends up on patch 06. same for all odd numbered patches. 2. a number of...

    Boss GT-8 or GT-10

So have I ... but to date, I haven't hooked both of them up. What I have done though is to cable my guitar into my GT-8, the two leads out of it. One goes to my JVM input, and the other to my TriAxis. I then cable the TriAxis into the FX return on the JVM head and I can have the best of both...

    Boss GT-8 or GT-10

The tone of the JVM was the first thing I noticed when I brought it home and plugged it in - even the wife commented on it (as well as the volume  ). Unlike other Marshall's that I've owned, the JVM is probably the best so far (apart from the JMP1). The only thing I would say I struggle...

    Boss GT-8 or GT-10

Yep - you are quite correct. I looked at this feature but have not used it. I have used it to change my Triaxis although I now use my old GP-8 with FC-100. I have also used both my GP-8 and GT-8 to change my JVM-410H - works a treat. Infact - mid set - when my Triaxis died, I wired the GP-8...

Mesa Boogie 20/20 power amp - convert to 220/240 Volts

Hi. I'm in hte same boat with my Triaxis and have had two quotes. Soundworks (Ringwood - Melb, Vic) said anywhere from $100 - $300 - depending on the type of mounting and power supply it has. The only other authorised boogie repairer quoted over $600 - they didn't want to do it as the...

    Boss GT-8 or GT-10

Absolutely. You can change patches on the GT and it will send the program change info the the Triaxis. But wait - there's more ... you can configure the pedal on the GT-8 / 10 to send CC messages and alter any of the parameters on the Triaxis on the fly. For example, you could go from low gain...

How to MIDI map on the Triaxis?

Hi. I too had a wonderful (and have another) JMP1 and yes - it's mapping function was great. The triaxis has the same feature - but implemented a bit differently. On the front panel you have two sets of numbers "Preset" on the left and "Program/Channel" on it's right. Think of the midi...

Triaxis freezing and other patch changing voodoo

After I sent the reply - I wondered if you meant that. Thanks, I'll post hte results when I get around to doing it Peter.
