thinking of re-working this one.....
with a new drum track-
this demo drum track was done with a zoom123 drum machine....

ideas? i'm stuck between the idea of using a standard kit, versus something more industrial, i used both in this demo....

all guitars are Carvin DC200K>>mesa mark2b 60w >> roland 1x12a closed back with greenback>> sm57>> mic pre>>console

thanks zodiac

any ideas about the drum track?
sounds, grooves, vibe, anything?

hey,

the drums are synthesized right? They seemed real thin next to your guitar. and your guitar tone and playing are so organic, that they makes the drums sound not so great, but that's to be expected i guess. Maybe if you can add a bit more weight to the drums, more lows, low/mids? maybe a more organic drum beat? unless the juxtaposition of the guitar/drums was what you are trying to achieve. or maybe it needs a bass guitar? I don't know... keep em coming!

no, the drums aren't 'synthesized', they are actual recorded samples, triggered by a drum machine.

i can easily mix them louder, and deeper, this mix i have them pulled back, so that the listener can more easily decide how they would want to hear a 'new' drum track.
