 I promise I will run out of questions sooner or later!

I found 2 heads and a combo at Rainbow Guitars in Tucson.
I also found a combo at Grandma's in Albuquerque.
Both are about the same distance away from me.

I've been listening to clips on youtube all day and it seems that most guys have exactly the same tones, which I don't like. It seems like most of the guys on youtube have their amps setup in a nasally almost annoying tone. There are some really good ones, but can you guys direct me to some that are stellar instead of just some **** playing crappy Metallica lines?

I really like this guy's tones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44r9-kGuHxE
On this clip anyway! He did have some Sandman clips too, but I just don't really like Metallica.

Also....
What is the physical size of the head and combo? I can't find this on Mesa's site. Usually they list this, but not for this amp.
What is the weight of the combo?
I have an older 1x12 1/2 back cab that fits under a Mark IV widebody perfectly. I would love to be able to use this cab with a V if it will fit!

And....
Finally, combo or head? Yeah, I know it all depends on how I will use it.
I actually prefer combos for the grab and go type of setup, but lately have been really enjoying my DC-10 head with my 4x12.
I guess I could keep my Maverick 1x12 and an OD pedal for the smaller jams. But, then I won't be using the V at jams and it sort of defeats the purpose of having an amp that will do the Maverick tones and so much more.
It just seems like a huge pain in the *** to take a head and cab to a jam session!
I mostly play with my band at our practice space, but want to get back into jamming with other people and really like the idea of a 1x12 combo that is portable.

OK! Done rambling now........................................

And....why do some of the Mark V's that I can find pictures of have a metal grate over just the power tubes while most pics show the standard aluminum bar across the back........

i say get the head, theres a couple of reasons why i like this one i can isolate a cab and record while still haveing my head right infront of me so if i want to tweek anything i can. Two i enjoy having a full 8x12 and head set up just looks way to metal. Plus you can always change up speaker combanations to get diffrent tones. You can with the combo but its much harder if you wanna switch out the speaker and such.

Yes your cab will fit perfect the head is actully kindda short, i like it its not awkward to carry around. Plus i say keep your Od because you can always use it in the clean channel, your channel two for more grit and gain, and your lead channel for even more saturation lol.

Erm...not really, you just pull out the speaker jack! simple as that. I would buy a head because they look cool :)

  I think the heads look cooler too! But I do love the one trip wonder of a combo too!

When the FX button is pushed on the footswitch, does it cut out the entire loop (Output Level & Solo) or does it just bypass the Send & Return jacks?

Assuming the loop is active for all channels.....etc., etc., etc.

I haven't read the manual all the way through, I should probably throw it on the back of the toilet for some quality studying...

"The Front Panel OUTPUT and SOLO controls are both part of the Loop and therefore active only when the Effects Loop is engaged. They are both part of the Return stage and will remain inactive as long as the loop bypass mini toggle is set to HARD BYPASS."

Actually, I don't love the one trip wonder! After putting my back out lifting my Lonestar Special into the back of a truck I decided to split the load and bought a Lonestar Classic head. Now I have the MK V head which is even lighter than the Lonestar head, and with the 1x12 C90 cab it's nice and easy to move around. Nobody is allowed to move my amplifiers but me...NOBODY! :D

Saw that part, but I was wondering about the footswitch for the Loop. I didn't see anything about whether or not the Output and Solo would stay working. I would guess that they would, but you never know.

Yeah Mork, I hear what you're saying. I bet the V combo weighs about 50 pounds less than my Tremoverb combo though! :D

The hard bypass switch on the back removes the whole circuit, the footswitch just bypasses the loop itself and doesn't affect the output and solo controls.
