So my friend blew up the output tranny on my pride and joy (http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=31013) and now I'm in the market for a new dual rec, in hopes that I'll find the exact one I want. I'm looking for a 2-channel revision F or earlier, with a black diamond plate and a chrome chassis.

I will gladly trade my current head (as is) without the tubes + some cash for the desired head, without tubes. Pictures of the amp from when I bought it about a year ago can be found at http://jtxdriggers.com/mesa. I would also like to trade a Squier Telecaster HH (including the case) that I've done quite a bit of work on. Pictures of that guitar can be found at http://jtxdriggers.com/guitar.

At best, I'm looking to cough up $500, my old dual rec, and the telecaster in trade for the dual rec I want (remember, no tubes are included in this trade). Depending on the condition of your amp, I may throw in some more cash. If you're not interested in the trade, just tell me what price you want to sell your head for, and I'll let you know what I can do.

Is it just the output transformer that is fried on your Dual Rec? How does the rest of the amp look like (i.e. tube sockets, grid resistors, etc.)

Well, I assumed it was the output tranny, but upon further inspection, there is a popped resistor next to a big orange capacitor behind the treble control knobs. It's the resistor outlined in green here: http://home.jtxdriggers.com/downloads/will/int1.jpg (this is one of my original pictures, just pointing out the resistor). Some of the orange plastic from the cap next to it has been melted off, and there is some charring of everything around it, but everything appears to be okay except that one resistor. It could even be possible that the output tran is fine, which would make this a relatively cheap fix (at least a lot cheaper than a tran replacement).
