First post long time lurker.
Now I have the Mesa GAS!!!!
I am looking fo a Loan Star Classic in the head version, although I wouldn’t rule out a 2x12 combo.
I am looking to buy outright, but would rather work a trade for my custom built Low Power Twin Tweed.

Info on the Tweed.
57 Fender Low Power Twin Tweed Clone,
$1100.00 shipped to the lower 48.

Similar specs to the Fender LPTT only better.
This amp was custom built for me by a master amp builder with his own line of custom amps. It started as a Weber 5E8, but many of components that effect tone and stability have been upgraded Mallory, Sprague etc... The two speakers are Weber design 25 watt 12A150-A. The cab is Mojo Tone and has been aged and lacquered for looks and durability. Some of the standard specifications have been changed slightly.
Channel 1; is straight Tweed Twin for both input jacks.
Channel 2; has some minor modifications to the stock circuit values. Jack 1 has a plexi twist and Jack 2 has a blackface twist. The tonal differences are subtle with both channels having12AX7s but with some experimentation substituting 12AY7 in channel one and a 12AX7 in channel 2 it becomes more apparent. You can also chain the channels together for a little more gain.

The amp is designed to run either 6L6 or EL34 power tubes with copper cap rectifiers.
Meter tip jacks were also installed for easy bias adjustments. Just plug a digital multimeter into the jacks and tweak the bias adjustment pot to your tube specs. Very Cool!! I will also include a multimeter so you are equipped to set the bias if needed.

Next a switch was added so the amp can be operated in a fixed bias or cathode bias mode. The cathode bias provides about 30W of singing vintage tone and the fixed bias operates at about 40W with more headroom.

This amp is a tone machine and I am sure some of you will want to know the name of the builder. However, I would prefer to not reveal this info in a public forum, partially because he has his own line of amps and I don't want him overwhelmed with questions unless you are serious about buying the amp.
Thanks, Rock-On!!
