Club amps? NOT BEDROOM AMPS. Is mine weird? It bangs all over the Heartland and kicks every Fender it sees, in the knees.

How many Blue Angels were even built, and how many are still gigging?

Mine works every weekend almost, and has never had an issue. I love it as much now, as I did when I got it. Roots amp. No master, no options, single channel, get over it.

I know some people here have had problems with them, and I'm hearing too many problems with the LSS to mention.

Mesa appears to have zero interest in building a non master amp again, so I'm actually wondering about the trade value for this rig, because as much as I love it, I don't like the idea of it being one of the only good ones. And, if it goes down, that's it.

Thanks.

Murph.

On the LSS... too many problems to mention? Clearly there are repeated 5Y3 problems, but that's all I hear about. What else are you hearing?

And from what I can tell, folks using NOS 5Y3s as replacements in the LSS are not having any more problems. It's clearly a solvable problem. Granted, probably shouldn't be there, but a very easy fix.

Mine still sits. I have other priorities and the Maverick is holding it's end up nicely. I may sell the Subway Blues, then I could afford to send the Angel back to Mesa. It is too noisy to use.

... is fine. My BA gigs along side my LSS 2x12 every gig. No problems yet.

I wish I could find one in my area, in need of repair or not. The best amp I ever head was a 4x10 Blue Angel.

I guess the only problems I've heard fromm LSS owners is the rectifier tube. But a bunch of em'...

I love the Blue Angel, just get paranoid sometimes I guess. Hell it's 8 years old and gigging like new.

I might even change the tubes this summer...................

Or not.

Murph, I dunno... at the risk of jinxing you, you probably don't have anything to worry about.

Where do you live? Do you have a decent amp tech in your area, Mesa-licensed or not? These things are built to last, man. After years and years of heavy use you might need to swap a few pots & caps, change some tubes... but jeez, ESPECIALLY a Mesa. You aren't going to lose it unless you get rid of it.

You could always get a Deluxe Reverb RI as a backup or something... much cheaper than an LSS, and supposedly the basis for the Angel, right?

My Blue Angel (1x12) works as well today as it did when I got it. It rocks! other than the noise from the cooling fan, which goes away when you crank it up, this amp has been rock solid. I love it. tt

Another one over here. Just 6 months with me and it's wonderful clean and nearly as good with a Fullltone OCD.
I got other stuff for that sort of sounds
