Hi all,

Got a quick question.... When Im playing my dual rec sometimes I have an issue where all of a sudden the amp will develop a loud ground hum. Not unlike a bad cable or loose cable for that matter. I can play over top of the hum and not loose the characteristics of the amp but it's obnoxious.

It happens on all of the channels but if I turn the amp of and back on it sometimes goes away and doesn't reappear till the next day... Sounds like a loose solder joint to me but any ideas where it might be? Everything underneath the hood on this looks clean and no bad joints visibly.

Up next is the tap and try test but wondering if anyone has ever experienced this before.

Thanks!

try these following diagnoses:

yeah, tried most of what's on that trouble shooting guide. Im thinking it's the output transformer, which if it is Im not looking forward to shelling out $300 for repair. But if it has to be done it has to be done. This is my first boogie, which I bought used so I assumed there would be problems.

Thanks for your advice though!

Im having the same problem with mine as well! I only just recently got it and realised 2nite it was making some weird noise. Mines a Revision 'D'. Hopefully its a simple fix.
