I agree in it's all about sales. I always liked the Mk 1, but never bought one. The Blue Angel got my attention from the first time I read about it, but it was ten years or so before I found one, and bought it.

I prefer an amp with a normal, non master channel, and Mesa doesn't look to have any left, but hey, every year's a new adventure.

I don't know anything about English Kings.

I do know a little about backstraps, deer jerky and firearms.

Go figure.

Dear Vasco, Richard 11 wasn't a Yorkist King - he was Angevin/Plantagenet, you must mean Richard 111. But back on topic, the F series has a great pre-amp. I have a 100 head and it has the most aggressive ultra (#3) channel I've ever heard. Superb for all-out gain and metal - should you want to play metal. It's far in excess of the Mk 4 or the nomad - both of which I have. I think, to quote Ric 3, we must harp on this string no longer.
