Who has played both the Lonestar Classic and Special?

I would like to know if the LSS 1x12 has the same type of mondo Bass Response like the LSC 1X12 does.

Mine had so much Bass maybe too much but when I put some EL34's in it it cooled it down some.

Thinking about Picking the Special up too.

I need an EL84 Amp around for kicks anyway.

I had a LSC for a few weeks, but it died on a gig, so it went back. Then when the LSS came out, I picked one up. Different animal. The LSS leans more towards the Vox/Marshall clean tone, whereas the LSC leans more towards Blackface tones. I think the LSS is more versatile because of it's power attenuations (5, 15, 30 watts). The drive channel has a little more compression than the LSC did, but with all the controls, it's easy to take care of that if it bothers you.
