HI Folks,
Just a quick question, what type of slo blo fuse does a mark IVB combo take ?

In the manual it says 3A ( referring to the amps) but what I want to know is what type, a 3AG, 8AG, 7AG ?

Or maybe if somebody can please take one out and measure the dimensions of it and post it ?

I just purchased a mark IV from the states, (im in Australia) and its on its way and I just wanted to know what type of fuse they take so I can order some before the amp arrives in case there is a problem and I need to diagnose.

Thanks.

3AG, 1/4" X 1 1/4" Not sure what your line voltage is,but if it is 220,the amps will be half what is needed for the 120v line here in the States.

Hi Stokes,
Thanks for those measurements mate, Greatly Appreciated.

Regarding the fuse rating, I thought the same thing about my 3 ch dual rec which is a u.s version that I run through a step down transformer. ( we run at 240 volts here in Australia )

I emailed mesa and Garey told me the following,

"Actually, we use the 4A 250v fuses – which are standard. The 120v on the amp refers to incoming line voltage and is often confused with fuse ratings."

I can only buy 240 volt slo blo fuses here and wanted spares for the dual rec, so I followed his advice and purchased 4 amp 240 volt slo blo's for the dual rec, so I guess I will do the same for the mark IV but 3 amp ones.

Thanks Again for the measurements, your"e a champ !

Okay, when I said 220v I meant 240v,220v is the old standard, like 110v was the standard here.Old dog,new tricks,ha.Since you are using a step down tranny, the amp is still seeing 120v,so the amperage thing I mentioned doesnt apply.
