I recently seen victon wooten in concert and I have to say that he is definately one of the best bass players that has ever lived. That was a very enjoyable concert with a good mix of "stunts" and playability. Anybody know much about Reggie Wooten (Victors brother) and if he has any solo stuff. His guitar playing is very original and you can tell where victor got some of his sound

Future Man?

I've met them all a few times, used to be really big into Bela Fleck some years ago. Wooten is a monster, I pretty much quit bass after seeing him for the first time :p

I actually passed by him on the freeway last month, at least I think it was him, had a plate with 'wooten,' very very tricked out car with TV screens running all over the place in it.

hahaha nice I actually met him too it was more like everyone line up and have your 30 seconds with him but it was cool. I know some Bela Fleck not too much thought my brother is really big into that stuff

I guess this was back before they were big, we chatted (the band) for about 20 minutes or so about all kinds of stuff, I was wearing a radiohead shirt at the time and found out Bela and the horns guy (newer) was a big fan of theirs, pretty wild to find out what artists like!

Wooten's hand was like shaking hands with a baseball mit.

cool stuff

I would agree on the hand size we were about 10-15 feet away from him the whole time. He'd better have some big hands to do all that double slap and double pull off thing he does.
