Trouble Shooting Help Needed
As noted previously I just picked up a 20+ year old SOB over the weekend. It had some sporadic crackling, hissing and volume fading which I hoped a new set of tubes would fix. Well the hissing is gone, but the sporadic crackling and fading is still here.
Any ideas what the cause could be? I’ve read through some posts and maybe it needs new caps. Is there a place that sells repair kits for this? If so who? Or can anyone recommend a good amp tech in the Chicago land area?
